Methyl methacrylate is injected into the flask under constant pressure, so any material shrinkage is compensated for with more acrylic. The result is an accurate denture that needs little to no adjusting.

Clear acrylic was injected into the mould then before putting the case into the curing bath, we switched to a pink tube of acrylic. The pink material represents the amount of material it takes to compensate for the shrinkage.
